Barrister Ahmad Farooq Malik– Litigation Consultant AFMalik Law

Barrister Ahmad Farooq Malik is currently a Litigation Consultant at AFMalik Law (Attorneys & Development Consultants). He completed his undergraduate degree in law (LL.B) from the University of Sheffield, England in 1998 and the Bar Vocational Course from University of The West Of England, Bristol, England and Lincoln’s Inn in 1999 and started practicing law the same year. He started his practice as a trainee Associate and then as a Law Associate with IRFAN & IRFAN (Attorneys-At-Law). In 2002, Barrister Malik, joined AITZAZ AHSAN & ASSOCIATES (Advocates & Attorneys) and worked there as an Associate till 2007. In 2008, Barrister Malik re-joined IRFAN & IRFAN (Attorneys-At-Law) as a Senior Associate and left the firm in 2012. During this time, he also worked at Bukhari Chambers in London for a year. He joined Jus & Rem Attrorneys & Corporate Counsellors as Senior Partner from 2012-2016, after which he worked at the Infrastructure Development Authority Punjab (IDAP), Government of Punjab as their Chief Legal Officer from 2016-2018.

At AFMalik Law, Barrister Malik advises clients on issues including choice of corporate vehicle, preparation of constitutive documents, regulatory consents & approvals. In this capacity, he has extensive experience of drafting complex legal documents including, acquisition of companies, shareholding agreements, technical support agreements, transfer of technology agreements, investment agreements, joint venture agreements, media & entertainment agreements, construction and development agreements, management services agreements, public private partnerships agreements, interconnected agreements, intellectual property license/assignment agreements, franchise agreement, software development agreement, distribution agreements and deeds/documents for transactions in respect of immovable properties.

Barrister Malik has vast experience in conducting contentious matters before various judicial and quasi-judicial forums in Pakistan. Barrister Malik advises on various contentious matters related to civil and constitutional law. His past experience includes representations before the Pakistan Office of Domain Name Dispute Resolution Centre, the Environment Protection Agency, The Trade Marks Registry, The Copyright Board, The Patent Office, the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan and the Competition Commission of Pakistan.

Engineer Amjad Awais Wyne- Infrastructure Arbitration Consultant

With over 45 years of experience in engineering, project management, construction management and climate impact resilience solutions. Engineer Mr. Wyne offers a diverse and rich professional national and international experience to AFMalik Law in all engineering and infrastructure consultancy projects and has been called for several alternative dispute resolutions in large commercial engineering matters as an arbitrator.

Mr. Wyne has worked with Ittehad Chemicals, Exxon Mobil and Fauji Fertilizers in Pakistan before moving to the U.A.E. to work with ADNOC (now ARAMCO) for almost a decade. He excelled at all projects and gained rapid professional growth. Upon moving back to Pakistan, he set up various projects of Rupali as their Group Technical Director. He has set up various engineering projects such as Rupafil, Rupafab and Spintex in AJK and traveled extensively to the U.K., China, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Holland, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Indonesia to negotiate, purchase and research industry equipment of the highest standards for his projects. Since 1995, Mr. Wyne under Wyne Associates has also been under taking engineering & construction projects in Lahore. He regularly arbitrates in matters concerning construction and engineering contracts disputes.
