Dr. Ammara Malik elected as Chair, APAC Board, GAIL

AFMalik Law Founding Principal Attorney Dr. Ammara Farooq Malik has been elected as the Chair of the APAC Regional Board of the Global Alliance of Impact Lawyers (GAIL) for 2023-2024.

The nominations for election were accepted in November and the elections were held in December 2022.

The new term started in March 2023. The Express Tribune highlighting the importance of this development specifically with respect to Pakistani female lawyers and the role of GAIL. The new APAC Board comprises of Dr. Ammara Farooq Malik, Sung-Hui Park, Brian W. Tang, Steven Moe, Michael Ryland, Jon Cheung, Phillippa Wilkie, Vivien Teu, Tze-wei Ng and others.

She has been a social enterprise and impact lawyer since 2018, making her the first impact lawyer in Pakistan. AFMalik Law is the first female-led law firm in Pakistan to go global.”
